The Char Dham Yatra 2026 temples are scheduled to open in April 2026. Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on April 19, followed by Kedarnath on April 22, and Badrinath on April 23 or 24 at around 6:15 AM, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
The Char Dham shrines will remain open for pilgrims until October–November 2026, after which they will close for the winter season.

Registration for the Char Dham Yatra 2026 is mandatory for all pilgrims, including those traveling by helicopter. The Uttarakhand government provides this service free of cost.
